About Me
Bonjour!
I am a 27 year old otaku/fangirl currently living in the small town of Granby, in Quebec, Canada.
I have a bachelor's degree in communications and I hope to one day have a career in the radio industry.
I have been of fan of anime and manga for well over 10 years now. I have to say that with age, my love for the medium has diminished a little, but I still own over 500 manga volumes (if not more) and I have been collecting dvds for about 3 years now...and my collection is growing bigger by the minute.
Amongst my favorite titles you can find:

In my spare time, I like to play video games, draw and read (not just manga, I read novels too).

Band: My favorite English Band is Depeche Mode which I discovered about 2 years ago thanks to a friend of mine. Since then, I have seen them twice in concert and have a tatoo related to them on my ankle. My favorite French band is Indochine which I have also seen in concert this summer.
Book: "Les Chevaliers D'emeraude"

Film: My favorite movie that I never get tired of is "The Replacements" with Keanu Reeves. Not a great movie for some people, but I think its funny :-)
Hobby: I like to work out the energy accumulated at my deskjob at the gym. I also like to draw, read and play a little video game when I have time.

Language: I speak French and English/ Je parle le francais et l'anglais.
MP3 Player: Ipod Nano and RCA Lyra.
Manga: Ok, here are the series I remember owning: Card Captor Sakura, Sailor Moon, Evangelion, Gunnm, Alice 10th, Fushigi Yuugi Genbu, RG Veda, Tsubasa, xxxholic, Neon Genesins Evangelion Angelic Days, Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, Shin Angyo Onshi, Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Quest Dai No Dabouken, Kodomo no Omocha, Chobits, Ruroni Kenshin, X/199 (some volumes anyway), Rebirth, Hana Kimi (for you in full blossom), GTO,One Piece,R.O.D,Trigun, annnd..more but I'm having a brain freeze here...

With the concept idea, I just sorta went with the flow and add things as I go - didn't really plan it like that from the beginning :) I started with just the plane and an idea for the cockpit navigation box and the barcode thing. Took me a while to lay things out is 'supportive' way without making it too chaotic. Then just sort of playing around with different elements, like the bubbles, the ruler/cockpit navigation angle, the buildings, lines etc.
I think in the end the one I submitted is draft #27 - lol!
So yeah, drafts #1-26 are mix bag of progressive work and a lot of failed experiments - lol!

Hi there..thank you for the +fav on my first wall...
About the bg, I used a filter in photoshop: render=fibers..then played a bit on the variance and strength to achieve the texture I liked..then adjusted its hue/saturation to make it appear with a yellow-orange color like that of a wooden desk..
But before all of that, I started with a 1200x1600 canvas..after I did all the effects, I rotated it to 90 degrees CW so it would be horizontal..
hope that helped..it was just part of my experiment when I did that bg and I know it's not that realistic enough..but it can be improved with more experimentation..I'm really just a beginner at photoshop anyways..^^'
